Don AskeyDirector of Operations
Don Askey, Director of Operations, joined Abacus in 2013. Don is responsible for strategic business planning and the operations of all offices and onsite accounts across the United States. Don brings 22 years of staffing experience to Abacus and has expertise in the staffing industry. His background includes: Professional placements and large managed staffing projects, sales and operations management for a variety staffing fields such as Skilled Trades, Accounting Finance, Light Industrial, Engineering and government contract.
Prior to becoming director of operations, Don was regional manager of Abacus’s Baltimore office. Don provided leadership, vision, and strategic direction to ensure the success of both his office and the entire company. Don strengthened and broadened Abacus’s sales market and worked hard to maintain strong relations with the company’s accounts.
Don holds a B.S. in mass communications from Towson University. Additionally, Don is a Certified Staffing Professional through the American Staffing Association. He also received a Loss Control Management certificate from the ITT Hartford Insurance Company. Don served as a member of the Home School Association for St. Margaret School located in Bel Air, Maryland. Don was also appointed to be on the board of directors for the construction of Annie’s Playground located in Bel Air, Maryland.
